Why did my credit card get declined?Updated 2 years ago

There could be a number of reasons why your credit card payment method was declined here on Beard Octane.  The question you should ask yourself is, "Have I maxed out my credit spending limit by previously buying a lot of Beard Octane products?".  If this answer is "No", then there could be a few other possible reasons for payment being declined.  Here are the most common reasons:

• You did not enter your credit card number exactly as it appears on your credit card
• Your CVV (security code - commonly on back of card) does not match
• Your Zip Code entered for your billing address does not match the Zip Code associated with the credit card
• You did not pay your bill...sorry, just a reality sometimes...

Beard Octane has multiple security checks in place, that scan for these type of issues, and will commonly decline your card if any of this information is incorrect.  This is to protect you, as the cardholder, and so we don't find out later on that you didn't place the order and we get stiffed on products which were fraudulently purchased, which then forces us to close the business because we can't afford the electricity required to operator the label printer used to print shipping labels.  But, if for some reason you are still having issues, simply contact us!
